When should I start wearing a post-surgical bra?
When should I start wearing a post-surgical bra?
Most surgeons recommend wearing a post-surgical bra immediately after surgery or once you return home from the hospital. The timing can vary based on your specific procedure and your surgeon's protocol. Always follow your healthcare provider's recommendations about when to start wearing your surgical bra and how long to wear it each day.
How does a surgical bra support my recovery?
How does a surgical bra support my recovery?
Post-surgical bras provide essential benefits during healing: gentle compression to reduce swelling and bruising, support for proper tissue alignment, stabilization to minimize movement of healing areas, and accommodation for medical equipment like drains, breast forms, or cooling inserts. The specialized features—like front closures, seamless construction, and soft fabrics—are designed to promote comfort while protecting surgical sites.
Can I use my FSA or HSA to purchase a breast augmentation bra?
Can I use my FSA or HSA to purchase a breast augmentation bra?
Yes! Our breast augmentation bras are FSA and HSA approved through sig-is.org, which means you can use your pre-tax health savings funds to purchase them. While we cannot process insurance directly, some insurance plans may also provide reimbursement for post-surgical garments. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to inquire about coverage options.
How do I care for my surgical bra to maintain its compression and quality?
How do I care for my surgical bra to maintain its compression and quality?
Hand wash your surgical bra in cool water with gentle detergent and air dry to maintain the compression and elastic properties. Avoid using fabric softener, as it can break down the elastic fibers and reduce the supportive compression your bra provides during recovery. With proper care, your heart&core bra will maintain its quality throughout your healing journey.
